The RTH Sculptra™ cosmetic consultation is an important step in the process of the Sculptra™ procedure. Dr. Hajjar and the RTH staff are committed to helping you become well informed about the process of Sculptra™ and whether you may be a good candidate.
Dr. Hajjar will spend time with you to determine how to best achieve your wrinkle and anti-aging goals. Whether you want to remove facial wrinkles, lip lines, face folds, marionette lines, forehead lines, crow's-feet, or smile and laugh lines, Dr. Hajjar will select the treatment areas to ensure an optimal result.
Collagen is a key structural component that keeps skin youthful looking and smooth. As you age, your body's collagen production decreases, and you may begin to see wrinkles. Sculptra works to correct these wrinkles by replacing your lost collagen, which can help provide a refined, more youthful looking appearance.
It begins to work within the deep dermis, where your skin's structure is reinforced as Sculptra Aestheti™c helps to replace lost collagen. This reinforced collagen structure provides a foundation that gradually restores the look of fullness of your shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds that have depleted over time.

The best candidate for Sculptra™ is someone who would like to remove wrinkles, folds, and age lines from their face with subtle yet noticeable results.
You should not receive Sculptra™ treatment if you have an active infection or skin inflammation near the planned injection site.
| Procedure |

Your visit will be as comfortable as being in your own home. You will be seated comfortably or lying down during the procedure. Sculptra Aesthetic™ is administered in a series of treatment sessions by Dr. Hajjar or the RTH staff.
On average, three treatment sessions are needed over a few months, but Dr. Hajjar will tailor the sessions to best suit your skin and your desired goals. It is important to return for all treatment sessions in order to get the maximum effect from the gradual process of collagen replacement offered by Dr. Hajjar.
Dr. Hajjar may use a topical anesthetic and you may experience injection site discomfort in the treatment process, however this varies from person to person.

Immediately after each treatment session you may experience swelling, which can give you a preview of how you may look once your shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds have been smoothed. The swelling on average subsides within a few days. Side effects may include injection site pain, redness, bruising, bleeding, itching, or swelling but vary from person to person.

Sculptra™ is highly effective at providing consistent results for removing deep facial wrinkles including lip lines, forehead lines, crow's-feet, marrionette lines, and smile and laugh lines.
You may begin to see progressive visible results within the first few weeks after each treatment session. A full treatment of Sculptra Aesthetic™, an average of three injection sessions over a few months, can produce results that last up to two years. So you can enjoy your results for a longer period of time.
