Radiesse
PREPARATION / PROCEDURE / RECOVERY / RESULTS
Radiesse is a dermal filler used to fill and correct smile lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth.
Radiesse® is made of unique calcium-based microspheres suspended in a natural gel, resulting in a “scaffold” to support and stimulate the growth of your own collagen. Radiesse® works with your body, below the skin’s surface. Tiny calcium-based microspheres form a “scaffold” to support and stimulate the growth of your own collagen. Over time, the calcium-based microspheres gradually break down and are naturally absorbed by your body. Radiesse® does more than just temporarily fill-in facial folds and wrinkles – it can restore facial volume for the youthful look you want.

Avoid using aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, St. Johns Wort, or high doses of Vitamin E supplements prior to treatment, because these may increase bruising or bleeding at the injection site.

As with all injections, some patients may experience discomfort. To increase your comfort, you may be given a topical anesthetic or a dental nerve block.
| Recovery |

Radiesse® treatments have little to no downtime, with most patients returning to normal activities soon after treatment. After your treatment, you may have some swelling, redness, pain, bruising, and tenderness. This will normally last less than seven days.
