Mircropigmentation
PREPARATION / PROCEDURE / RECOVERY / RESULTS
A tattoo can change a person's look, however micropigmentation
can change a person's life. Whether you are completing the details
of a breast reconstruction or applying permanent cosmetics, RTH Face & Body
has the artistic touch that will positively affect your self-image.
Applying some cosmetics can be bothersome, especially if you have a
physical condition that makes it difficult or they have to be applied
everyday. Permanent make-up will permit more practical make-up application,
save time in the morning and reduce the need for touch-ups during the
day. RTH Face & Body specializes in the application of eyebrows,
lip liner, and full lip color.

A patch test is done to determine whether you have an allergic reaction
to the pigment that will be used. You will select the color, based
on advice and suggestions from the RTH makeup technician. The technician
then sketches the area to be tattooed with a sterile surgical pen.
A topical anesthetic gel is applied on the area.

We apply special dyes through a delicate hand piece specifically designed
for this procedure to accent your natural beauty. Using new micro-pigmentation
techniques, eyelashes, eyebrows, and lip margin can be highlighted
to help you look your best at all times.
Micropigmentation is performed in an our office. The procedure itself will take
a short amount of time, perhaps 20 minutes to a half hour at most.
Nipple and Areola Micropigmentation
Following breast reconstruction many patients choose to have to have the nipple
and areola complex rebuilt to match their natural breast. After selecting the
proper pigment to color match, our technician measures and outlines the area
treated, resulting in a natural look.

It takes about 2 to 3 weeks for the color to fade to its permanent shade allowing
you to enjoy the results of the procedure. Your RTH technician may recommend
avoiding direct sunlight for several weeks. You will be able to resume normal
activities the same day.
Your RTH doctor or RTH technician will instruct you
on how often you should ice the area and what type of ointment you can apply
to the area. If you are having the procedure performed in your eye region, you
should plan to have someone drive you to the office and home again. You may experience
tearing, which is normal.

While results vary from individual to individual most patients enjoy a fuller
more dramatic color to the region. Permanent make-up patients enjoy not
needing to apply bothersome cosmetics everyday. They typically save time in the
morning and don't need to worry about makeup touch-ups throughout the day.
