The RTH CoolSculpting™ cosmetic consultation is an important step in the process of the CoolSculpting™ procedure by Zeltiq™. Dr. Hajjar and the RTH staff are committed to helping you become well informed about the process of CoolSculpting™ and whether you may be a good candidate.
Dr. Hajjar will spend time with you to determine how to best achieve your body contouring goals. Whether your goal is to remove love handles, fat from your lower back, belly, or thighs. Dr. Hajjar will select the treatment areas to ensure an optimal result.
The best candidate for CoolSculpting™ by Zeltiq™ is someone who is in relatively good shape, but has modest areas of fat bulges that they'd like removed. It isn't an alternative to healthy diet or lifestyle.
Your visit will be as comfortable as being in your own home. You will be seated comfortably or lying down during the procedure. A special pad is placed on the treatment area to protect your skin surface. The device is then placed on the selected area of your body to treat. The CoolSculpting™ device then draws the selected area up between two cooling panels. As the panels work you may feel a sensation of intense cold. This soon dissipates. Many people spend time reading, working on their laptop or evening taking a nap.
Several days after your procedure the cooled fat cells begin to shrink and die. The fat cells are then slowly broken down over several months and removed naturally through your liver. They are converted to energy just like the fat that you normally consume when you eat lunch or dinner.
