Much like a face lift, a brow lift raises the skin on the forehead, opening
the eye to create a more youthful and inviting appearance. This procedure can
be done endoscopically, which is an advanced minimally invasive technique resulting
in reduced scarring and eliminates the possibility of hair loss.

The RTH Plastic Surgery cosmetic consultation is an important step in the process of considering aesthetic surgery. Dr. Hajjar and the RTH staff are committed to helping you become well informed about the actual process of preparing for your brow lift. Please feel free to ask any questions and to let us know how we can help you throughout the process.
An RTH physician will spend time with you discussing your wishes and desires. He will examine you and give you his professional opinion about how to best achieve your goals. Your RTH doctor will work with you to determine whether you are a good candidate for a brow lift. Other services may be recommended in combination with this service to be sure that you have an optimum surgical result and a wonderful surgical experience.

Your candidacy for this procedure is determined during the consultation phase. Your RTH doctor will help you to decide whether you are a good candidate for a brow lift. He will take into consideration your specific needs, your age, health and various other factors. This procedure is commonly elected by both men and women between the ages of 35 and 50 years old.

Schedule your appointment at your own convenience.
Before your Procedure
3 weeks prior to and 3 weeks after your surgery try to limit your
alcohol and tobacco intake. 2 weeks prior to and 2 weeks after
your surgery do not take medication that may thin your blood
such as Aspirin or Ibuprofen products.
The Evening Before Your Procedure
The evening prior to your surgery please refrain from eating or
drinking anything including water. Please do not smoke and check
with your RTH physician regarding any medication that you are taking
regularly.
The Day of Your Procedure
Please refrain from wearing makeup, contact lenses, hairpins, jewelry,
body lotion or perfume. Wear comfortable clothing. If you develop
a cold, sore throat, fever or any symptoms of illness before
your surgery, notify the RTH office.
Please prepare to have a responsible adult available to provide transportation
after your procedure and have arrangements made for any necessary
assistance you may require for the following 24 hours. If you are
a minor a parent or guardian must accompany you.

Before your procedure your RTH physician will answer any questions that may have arose since the initial consultation and you will have an opportunity to meet any additional staff members involved. The RTH staff will do everything to make you feel as comfortable as possible and will be available to address any concerns that you may have.
The brow lift procedure will take about one and a half hours. Time may vary if this procedure is combined with other procedures. When you are ready for your procedure you will be brought into our state-of-the-art, certified surgical suite and comfortably put to sleep using general anesthesia.
The use of endoscopic techniques used during this procedure result in virtually undetectable incisions, virtually no scarring and a quick recovery.
| Recovery |

Just as everyone is an individual, everyone recovers differently. There is a minimal amount of discomfort following a brow lift. Your RTH physician will recommend no heavy lifting and to avoid direct sun light for several weeks. A couple weeks after surgery you will be able to resume normal activities.
A couple days after your surgery your RTH doctor will follow-up with you to see how you're healing, answer any questions and if necessary prescribe medication.

While results may vary, typically patients enjoy a more overall youthful
and inviting appearance. Most patients see an opening of the eye and
brow area, helping them regain a more alert, naturally youthful, approachable
appearance.
Your RTH Physician may recommend complimentary services to maximize
your desired result. These include a face
lift, neck
lift, eyelid surgery, nasal
surgery and facial implants.

Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City, as well as New
York Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University (Philadelphia
Hand Center), and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic
Medicine. He is board certified in Plastic and Reconstructive
Surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery.
