Breast Augmentation & Breast Enlargement (Mammoplasty)
CONSIDERATIONS / PREPARATION / PROCEDURE / RECOVERY / RESULTS

One’s body is very important in maintaining self-confidence and happiness. Breast size and shape can be a source of personal dissatisfaction, robbing you of feeling good, desirable and normal. Breast augmentation or enlargement can help you achieve the body and image that you desire and give you the confidence you deserve.

For many years doctors have searched for techniques to make it difficult to detect this procedure. Dr. Hajjar has improved and refined these minimally invasive techniques.

With RTH physicians short-scar technique you can confidently enhance your breast size with little or no scarring. This technique leaves a virtually seamless result, in which most people will be unable to detect the signs of your surgery.

Consultation
The RTH Plastic Surgery cosmetic consultation is an important step in the process of considering aesthetic surgery. Dr. Hajjar and the RTH staff are committed to helping you become well informed about the actual process of preparing for breast augmentation. Breast enhancement is a very private matter. Feel free to ask any questions and to let us know how we can help you throughout the process.

An RTH Physician will spend time with you discussing your wishes and desires. He will examine you and give you his professional opinion about how to best achieve your goals. Your RTH doctor will work with you to determine whether you are a good candidate for a breast augmentation. Other services may be recommended in combination with this service to be sure that you have an optimum surgical result and a wonderful surgical experience.

Procedure
Before your procedure your RTH physician will answer any questions that may have arose since the initial consultation and you will have an opportunity to meet any additional staff members involved. The RTH staff will do everything to make you feel as comfortable as possible and will be available to address any concerns that you may have.

The breast augmentation procedure takes about 2 hours. When you are ready for your procedure you will be brought into our state-of-the-art, certified surgical suite and comfortably put to sleep using general anesthesia. RTH uses FDA approved saline breast implants in its breast augmentation procedures.

Are breast implants safe? Yes. There is no evidence that breast implants increase the risk of breast cancer or any other condition. Most women can also safely breast feed after augmentation surgery.

Recovery
Just as everyone is an individual, everyone recovers differently. Rest is recommended for the first few days following surgery. A post-procedural sports bra is usually worn for several weeks. Your RTH physician will advise you on a proper schedule for returning to your normal activities. Most patients are back to work within the first week. A few weeks after surgery you will be able to resume normal activities.

A couple days after your surgery your RTH doctor will follow-up with you to see how you’re healing, answer any questions and if necessary prescribe medication.
